Mental retardation guides, 1971 [state publication].

Learning to Talk and Understand, written by Eugene C. Sheeley and Dorothy Springfield of the Partlow State School and Hospital, is a guide for aides to use with mentally retarded children in cottages and dormitories. The lessons are for children who do not talk at all or who talk very little, and they use a system of repetition and reward. The guide illustrates the role of Partlow in training retarded children.
